Hypnotherapy can be extremely effective in helping manage and alleviate stress by reducing tension and encouraging deep relaxation through suggestion, imagery and breathing techniques.  Negative thoughts can be reframed and coping strategies can be introduced, helping to promote a sense of calmness and therefore the ability to retain control. 
 

We all experience a hypnotic state several times each day, we just aren’t aware of it.  It is a little like daydreaming, so when you are absorbed in a film or book, or driving a route you drive regularly and then suddenly you have missed the turning – this is a form of hypnosis.

For the most part, we live in our conscious state – wide wake and alert, aware of our surroundings.
As we drift off to sleep, or if we become absorbed in something, we can access the subconscious mind where our memories, emotions and habits are stored.

 

Switching from the conscious to the subconscious mind is called “bypassing the critical faculty”.  When this occurs, the hypnotherapist has direct access to the subconscious mind, which doesn’t question suggestions like the conscious mind and is more open to suggestion.  It is here that positive changes can be made.  This state is usually achieved through guided relaxation and visualisation in the form of an induction and deepener, helping a client to relax into a hypnotic trance state where therapy can take place.

We all know that smoking isn't good for our health and as someone who stopped smoking through hypnotherapy, many years ago and then started smoking again,
I understand what it is like.


I have since stopped  but when I was truly ready.
I haven't smoked now for 8 years and have no intention of ever smoking again.  

There is no point attempting to stop until you are completely ready.

At Heal Yourself Haven, I offer Inner Child Therapy to help you heal from past emotional wounds and reconnect with your inner self. This therapy focuses on addressing unresolved childhood issues and promotes emotional healing and self-discovery.

Inner Child Therapy is a powerful way in which I reintroduce and reconnect you with your Inner Child, in order for you to heal from past experiences that may still be affecting your emotions, feelings and behaviours in the present.

Unresolved issues from childhood can continue to impact you in your adult life, causing emotional distress and interfering with relationships and wellbeing.  The technique involves a combination of letter writing, visualization, guided imagery and a dialogue with your inner child from birth through to adolescence.

Typically, it takes 5 sessions to complete.

Experience the transformative power of Thought Field Therapy (TFT) at Heal Yourself Haven. This approach aims to resolve emotional distress by targeting specific meridian points on the body, promoting emotional balance and well-being. 


This is an invaluable non - invasive skill that I share with almost all my clients to give them a tool that they can use to help regulate emotions.  There are a number of tapping and breathing sequences, which can provide rapid relief from anxiety, phobias, blocks, stress etc., and clients have experienced noticeable improvements in a very short amount of time empowering you to manage your own emotional
well-being.

Embark on a journey of self-exploration with Regression Therapy at Heal Yourself Haven. This therapeutic approach aims to uncover and address past traumas, anxieties, and unresolved emotions, facilitating healing and personal growth. 

This powerful form of therapy can remove blocks from the past and release the emotions linked with events.


 

 

Hypno-EMDR is a therapeutic approach that uses a combination of hypnotherapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) by using Self-Applied Bilateral Stimulation to help

re-process and reframe distressing memories.  

Hypno-EMDR helps process each piece of the memory, correctly filing unprocessed information and reorganising any misplaced details, allowing your mind to function more smoothly.

 

It is particularly effective when used to treat trauma, phobias, low self-worth and negative core beliefs.

I aim to help help you find ways to reignite interest, motivation and energy in activities, goals, or aspects of life that once inspired enthusiasm. 

I do this by giving you the time and space to express how you are feeling and then we work at setting new goals, recognising and understanding where these emotions and feeling came from, practicing
self-care and giving you tools and strategies to help you to help yourself.
